BRIEF HISTORY OF
Formerly known as Encore Caterers.
We had to change the name due to an objection by Nestle’ to the Encore part of the name as it was deemed to interfere with their Encore coffee brand.
However we have always strived in offering great food,excellent service & customer care & it is our reputation that sells & not merely a name.
We decided to change the name to ‘’HERITAGE THEATRE CATERERS’’ to tie in with the Heritage Theatre our new home base.
HERITAGE THEATRE CATERERS is headed up by Gary Camps who is able assisted by Reginald Goba who as a team have been together for 13 years.
ABOUT HERITAGE THEATRE CATERERS
As one of the more established Exhibition Caterers in Durban we pride ourselves in offering excellent service & a variety of options incorporating the services of other caterers.
Over the past years we have co-ordinated the catering for the following events at the Durban Exhibition Centre –
- N W J Bridal Show
- Durban Motor Show
- Comrades Experience
- East Coast Radio House & Garden Show
- Hobby X
- Spar Trade Show
- Shop SA
- Homemakers Expo
We also have select clients who we cater for at the Vodacom July.
Apart from the above we cater for numerous corporate clients at venues of their choice whether it be for a product launch, year end function, motivational speeches or team building exercises.
CATERING PACKAGES
We do not have a set catering package as such. I prefer to tailor make the menu to suite the clients specific needs.
We offer the full catering package if required from –

Gary Camps
HERITAGE THEATRE KITCHEN
Gary Camps approached Larry Lynch who was then with the Hops group to join forces as Gary also felt Larry’s cheffing abilities were greatly under utilised. Gary wanted to create really exciting new age style dishes not related to the normal Supper Theatre at The Heritage Theatre & felt that Larry was the right person as they had worked together at The Langoustine and needed someone to produce really good meals that needed to be served as quickly as possible without losing any flavours and lack of presentation.(220 Starters & 220 Main Course meals in 50 minutes).
Larry has proved a resounding success with regulars to the Theatre with his innovative dishes & the presentation thereof.
